I'm a French-speaking writer and amateur actor with a day job selling advertising for a financial association. My identity is not particularly secret, or interesting, but I'm hoping to avoid future conflicts of interests by going slightly anonymous and deniable in this space.
This blog will probably focus on my personal life, freelance writing, cooking, reading, and even personal opinions, which I have had to mute on Livejournal for many years so as not to offend the diverse group of friends I have there.
I am a white, middle-class, heterosexual male from England's home counties, with several university qualifications, and I won't make apologies for an accident of birth and two decades of hard academic graft (though I'd feel much better if we lived in a world where I didn't need to as everyone had the same breaks).
I'm an atheist, and this is non-negotiable. If you're a person with strong religious beliefs, I won't mock them to your face, but I guarantee you wouldn't want to engage me in an argument on the subject of religion.
I am a vaguely left-wing liberal type - I abhor almost any kind of political extremism. It's either scary or dull. Self-righteousness makes me want to throw up. Racism, sexism, any kind of discriminatory filth is unacceptable anywhere near me.
I'm a lifelong Doctor Who fan, and I'm now lucky enough to spend quite a portion of my spare time appearing in am dram and charity shows alongside people for whom you need a degree in geekhood to recognise off of the telly, but who really are impossibly lovely. I rely on no one caring enough about my Z-list showbiz lifestyle to pass on details of my occasional larks with these personalities. I really hope this isn't naive of me.
I am always up for making new friends, never be shy about contacting me!
